Precision Zirconia Plungers For Diesel Engine Repair

Innovasupplies leverages rich experience in high-precision zirconia ceramic machining for critical diesel engine components. Diesel engine ceramic plungers are made from ZrO2 stabilized with Yttria, used in diesel injector valves and fuel pumps. Its advantages include high corrosion resistance, extreme wear resistance, excellent strength, and precise dimensional accuracy (±0.005 mm). Zirconia’s properties (high fracture toughness, low thermal conductivity, high thermal expansion) make it ideal for joining ceramic to steel in demanding fuel systems, enhancing injector efficiency, stability, and longevity.

Key Applications & Models:

Injector Valves: Common model 3411711 (used in QSM11/ISM11 engines). Also produces for N14 and L20 injectors.

Injector Pumps: Common model 4088593 (used in QS19/CCR1600 3973228 pumps, e.g., earlier ISX engines).

Customization: Offers bespoke zirconia plunger solutions for new product development and research.

In traditional diesel fuel supply systems, the injection pump plays a critical role in the high-pressure fuel circuit by raising diesel fuel pressure to approximately 10 MPa to supply fuel to the corresponding injector. In modern high-pressure common-rail electronic control systems, the injector is regulated by the ECU, while   the injection pump still serves to increase diesel pressure. The injector itself is responsible for delivering diesel fuel into the engine cylinder in a fine mist form.
